Yet Another Post Today…

Naw, I’m not getting tired of them yet. What’s this, the… third one? Yeah. Anyway, three is a nice number.

As you can no doubt tell, my theme has changed. No, I’m not going goth or anything like that. However, I am sort of fond of black; but that’s not important. What I do want to know are your opinions on the new look… like the old one better? Say so. Think this one could be tweaked a bit? Hmm… say so. I listen!

Yeah… that’s all for now… just this short entry. Be sure to read my other two also written today. The first is semi-important stuff about Stickpage, the other is a life-thing! DO IT NOW!

*Peace*

*Stolen* (As requested…)

From one of my classmate’s journals:
“Suicide is not the answer!

Ask the 25-year-old who tried to electrocute himself. He lived. But both his arms are gone.

What about jumping? Ask John. He used to be intelligent, with an engaging sense of humor. That was before he leaped from a building. Now, he’s brain-damaged and will always need care. He staggers and has seizures .He lives in a fog. But, worst of all, he KNOWS he used to be normal.

What about pills? Ask the 12-year-old with extensive liver damage from an overdose. Have you ever seen anyone die of liver damage? You turn yellow. It’s a hard way to go.

What about a gun? Ask the 24-year-old who shot himself in the head. Now he drags one leg, has a useless arm and has no vision or hearing on one side. He lived through his “foolproof” suicide. You might too.

But … who will clean your blood off the carpet or scrape your brains from the ceiling? Commercial cleaning companies may refuse that job–but SOMEONE has to do it.

Who will have to cut you down from where you hung yourself or identify your bloated body after you’ve drowned? Your father? Your mother? Your wife? Your son?

The carefully worded “loving” suicide note is of no help. Those who loved you will NEVER completely recover. They’ll feel regret and an unending pain.

Suicide is contagious. Look around your family. Look closely at the 4 year old playing with his cars on the rug. Kill yourself tonight, and he may do it ten years from now.

You DO have other choices. There are people who can help you through this crisis. Call a hotline. Call afriend. Call a family member. Call your minister or priest. Call adoctor or hospital. Call the police. They will tell you that there’shope. Maybe you’ll find it in the mail tomorrow. Or in a phone callthis weekend. But what you’re seeking could be just a minute, a month,or a day away.

You say you don’t want to be stopped? Still wantto do it? -Well, then, I may see you in the psychiatric ward later. Andwe’ll work with whatever you have left.

Remember: Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

***IF YOU’RE READING THIS, PLEASE STEAL IT AND PUT IT IN YOUR JOURNAL TOO.***

Ready…. seeeeeeeeeeeeeeet…. discuss!

Interesting points given there. Sure, there are a lot of ways to kill yourself. But this quote raises the question: Is it worth it? One interesting part I like, especially becuase it is so true and many people deny it or just go ahead anyway: “Remember: Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.” Kind of disturbing, of course…. after all, somebody had to have written it for a reason… it’s just scary, thinking somebody may slit their wrists just becuase they don’t feel well, and think it’s the end of the world (as we know it, and I feel fine…). I mean, how many little kids have totally hated life for a bit, because of simple things? Like getting their hair cut, or something stupid like that? Seriously. Steal, Read, and Remember.

Been A While… Once Again…

I feel really dumb… ish. I keep making these resolutions for myself to blog more, and then I don’t. Makes me feel really bad, thinking of how many times I’ve said to myself you are going to start blogging more!… *sigh*

However, I have to admit that nothing can really get me down now. After all with school coming about to come to a close, good things are going to start happenning! I mean, seriously! School, in all its boredome, drudgery, and busywork, is about to be abandonded for the next, what, two, two and a half months! Weeeeeeeeeeee!

Now, on to more… *Sigh* interesting (maybe) stuff, in regard to Stickpage.com. It has become the largest focus of stick animation, especially now that the SSLA (Stickslaughter.com) portal is dead. And Crazy Jay, owner and Administrator of Stickpage, said in a forum post: “Stick Page will be releasing its own flash and art portal very soon called StickPagePortal.com or SPP!” He also mentioned that “[this] is great chance for stick figure animators and artists to show off and share there flash and art work… Features on SPP include:” Front Page (Top Movies/Games, News, and Top Competitions), User Created Competitions (which he states will be automated), User Blogs, Flash and Art Portals, and Portal Awards. I have to say, that is defenitly something to look forward to. And he also mentioned that it is only “a few weeks away.” FrAnKeH, one of the Stickpage moderators, said that the another moderator, ZuLu, has “been making this portal for the last few months.”

Also concerning Stickpage: lots of new front-page concerns. The latest animation, Animator vs Animation, was put there not so long ago, ver good art and well worth watching. Also new (but untested by me), The Escape Game and the movie Move It.

Bowman 2

Sequal to the hit game Bowman, Bowman 2 is the same, but considerably better. With improved physics and the new Bird-Hunting mode, it is something everybody should try. One noticable thing: many birds can be killed with just one arrow. My personal record is 2 birds, but a classmate claims the title (as far as I know) with 3. Got a better one? Post it in the Comments!

Well, that’s it for now. Finally up to date with most things, but…. *Sigh* meh.
